XML Application-Time Sheet

The client had a web based timesheet entry application with data stored in Oracle. For prototypical purposes, they developed a module to store timesheet data as XML files which using a suitable XSL stylesheet can be displayed as HTML in a browser. This was developed using Java and IBM XML parser.

The purposes were:

Longevity of data, since XML documents outlives the application that created it.
Ease of archiving, compared to Oracle tables.
A specific need to digitally sign the timesheet documents using digital certificates.

This is a popular web-site for Free Legal Music. We have developed this site from scratch. The site has been developed using PHP3 code and mySQL. The website keeps track of downloads of various tracks to prepare a dynamically generated Top 10 list of tracks. The website has a very easy-to-use searching and navigational interface. Despite a huge database of songs, efficient coding has been used to deliver a very fast loading. New features are being added almost on a daily basis.

Customized ERP for Essen Deinki

Essen Deinki, headquartered in Chandigarh, the capital city of Northern state of Punjab, manufactures electro-mechanical components such as connectors and micro-switches. their systems were partly computerized but were operating in isolation. Our objective was to develop an integrated which would take care of their Sales & Marketing, Production Planning, Accounting, Purchasing, Inventory, Costing, Scheduling and Personnel Management requirements of the company. The client evaluated various ERP packages including BAAN but was unable to find one that suited their requirements. The project was implemented to the satisfaction of the customer in a record time of one year.

ZoomFax (USA)

Koenig has developed an Unix based system for Internet based fax messaging. This software has been developed for ZoomFax, Inc. USA. This software allows users to fax messages to the ZoomFax server closest to them. The server then transmits the fax in the form of an email message to the ZoomFax server closest to the final destination of the Message. The latter in turn faxes the message to the recipient fax machine. This process is cheaper: than the conventional process of sending faxes over telephone. The complete software including interactive voice menu, billing, message encryption, caller line identification was developed and tested in a record time of 6 months.

Intranet Development (Pfizer, USA)

Koenig has developed HTTP based software using HTML language, CGI and native web API programming along with Java and JavaScript based modules. It is meant for porting all the common internal office applications of Pfizer Inc.( USA) onto the web platform. Some of the modules developed for Pfizer include Scheduler of Events, Online Document Repository, Rolodex of Contacts, Attendance Records.

Workflow- Tour Authorization System (Pfizer)

Koenig has designed a system that makes use of Microsoft Exchange Server and the Outlook programming system to streamline Tour Authorization processing and eliminates the paper work at Pfizer.

Energy Management System (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited)

This project is being developed for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, India's only manufacturer of airplanes which specializes in manufacturing military airplanes such as the MIG 21, MTG 23, Jaguar jet fighters and the AN32 bomber and military transport aircraft. We are developing a total substation automation solution for monitor and control of small to medium size electrical substations. The solution will cater to common needs for both industrial as well as utility substations. The package consists of useful features such as on-line status displays of various components in an SLD form, data collection, event logging, alarm reporting, post-mortem analysis etc. Advanced features such as automatic load management, generation management, automatic starting and shut down of DG sets, synchronization etc. is also provided as add-on modules.

This is a complete package based on PLC's, Intelligent Energy Meters and other field devices. It can communicate with most common PLC's over standards bus interfaces such as PROFIBUS, MODBUS etc.

Production Planning (Starter Inc., USA)

We are developing a distributed application for the production planning and resource planning requirements for various factories of Starter Inc, USA. This software is designed to work in a distributed Internet application using replicated databases and plan the production of goods in several factories of the company worldwide. The application has intelligent modules for scheduling the production plans of various factories, ordering of raw materials to maintain just-in-time inventory status and hence save locked up costs in inventory.

Applied Statistics

Our company in collaboration with Applied Statistics Inc., is involved in the development of the latest version of their product for process control namely Applied Statistics version 4.0 for Windows 98. This package is a complete solution for process control, monitoring and statistical analysis for on-line sample data collected from the shop floor.

This package is being developed in networked version for analysis and control of process machines using PCs running Applied Stats software on Windows 98. This is a true 32-bit application that has features that allow numeric analysis and graphical representation of the collected statistics from the process machines. This package also communicates with a back-end RDBMS using client/server technology for storing and retrieving process control data from the central server database. This communication is performed using 32-bit ODBC drivers.

Blender Room Automation Software (Brico Goetze)

We have developed Windows based process automation software for the blending operations at Brico Goetze (a subsidiary of the Escorts group). The software has been installed at their latest piston plant at Bhiwadi(India) and is used to control and monitor their Blending machinery over RS232C interfaces. The data collected from the ring machines is stored in databases along with blend details. The software also has built-in intelligence about the various blends and can warn the operators if the materials being mixed are not in the right proportions.

Scheduling & Optimization SW (Carrier, USA)

We have developed scheduling and optimization software for the numerous assembly line operations of Carrier. The software is able to generate schedules for each assembly line based on the cycle times of various parts being manufactured as well as setup times for the assembly lines.

Based on the requirements of different end products during a week, the software scans millions of schedules using a complex set of algorithms to determine the optimum schedule for each assembly line. The software also generates schedule graphs for each assembly line allowing the user to easily re-schedule the assembly lines using Drag & Drop.
